Race under the EOA is interpreted as a group of persons of common ethnic origin or colour or of mixed race.
Discrimination on the grounds of a person’s race occurs where a person of one race or of mixed race is treated less favourably than another person of another race or mixed race, in circumstances that are same or not materially different.
The acts of discrimination can be in employment, education, provision of goods and services and provision of accommodation.
